Recycling Right: Tactics and Tools for Effective Residential Outreach (Part TWO)

What about social media? What works best, and where should you focus resources first? This webinar will investigate best practice approaches, review campaigns that work, and leave you with practical approaches for fine tuning recycling education in your community.
WBNR: Thursday, February 12, 2015 (1:00-2:30pm):
Connecting Rural HHW Program Managers to Manufacturer-Funded Take-Back Programs
In the first webinar in our series on product stewardship solutions in rural areas, we will introduce HHW program managers, contractors, and local government officials to manufacturer-funded take-back programs that help maximize environmental performance while minimizing costs. We will focus on mercury-containing thermostats, auto switches, and rechargeable batteries. We will also examine manufacturer-funded take-back programs for tires, which — while not technically HHW — are still considerably costly to manage.
