Midwest Food Recovery Summit

As food waste continues to become a mainstream problem,  the need for resources and information about how to reduce waste from the source , recover it if possible and where it should go become essential. The Midwest Food Recovery Summit will focus on ALL of the recovery options.

WBNR: August 2, 2017 (1:00 pm-2:30 pm)

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa partnered with the U.S. EPA Region 5 to create a Tribal Community-Based Social Marketing (CBSM) Training Guide. This training guide provides an overview of how to use the CBSM process to increase sustainable behaviors in tribal communities. CBSM combines marketing techniques with community engagement and has proven to be far more effective in leading to sustainable behaviors than information dissemination alone.

EVENT: July 22, 2017 (8:00am-4:00 pm)

The Consortium for Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability (CESAS) and its partners will host the Twelfth Annual Dialog on Sustainability: “Climate Change and Health,”  on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Fiedler Hall Auditorium and Atrium, in the Engineering Complex at Kansas State University.

EVENT: August 25 – September 4, 2017

The Sustainability Pavilion is a great place to reach out to State Fair guests with an activity, a “make & take” project, a demonstration, or a presentation.  The Sustainability Pavilion is focused on sharing with and encouraging the public to make better environmental choices.
