EPA is announcing a grant competition to fund two-year Source Reduction Assistance (SRA) agreements that support source reduction approaches (also known as “pollution prevention” and herein referred to as “P2”). Proposals are due Thursday, August 23, 11:59 pm (EDT). FY 2018 Brownfields Assessment, Revolving Loan Fund, and Cleanup Grant Guidelines

These Brownfields grants may be used to address sites contaminated by petroleum and hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants (including hazardous substances co-mingled with petroleum). The proposal submission deadline is November 16, 2017.  Assessment Grants (funded over three years) Community-wide or Site-Specific Applicants: Applicants may apply for up to $200,000 in hazardous substances funding or up to $200,000 in petroleum funding. 2017 School Bus Diesel Rebates

The Diesel Emissions Reduction Act of 2010 (7 pp, 133 K, January 2011) allows EPA to offer rebates in addition to grants to reduce harmful emissions from older, dirtier diesel vehicles. The rebate program has funded vehicle replacements or retrofits for over 600 vehicles to date.
